When I posted a while back, saying there is a transgender genocide happening, some people said I was being hyperbolic.
Here’s why I’m not exaggerating.
For the last couple years anti-trans people have been promoting a groomer narrative, the narrative that trans people merely existing is child abuse. It’s a lie that has been repeated over and over. How is it justified? Because seeing us in public or on social media might influence kids. Us living our best lives has been turned against us, and our collective desire to protect the vulnerable has been hijacked to promote hate.
Today it became a crime punishable by death to abuse children in Florida. Is this law about real child abusers? Not a chance.
This is how genocide happens.
Trans people existing is labeled child abuse, and child abuse is made a crime punishable by death. The result is that trans people will be sent to death row for existing.
I’m not being hyperbolic. This is a trans genocide.
Taking our health care, and forcing us to move out of state, or country, is just the tip of the genocide iceberg. Exterminating us is the real solution they will use. It’s real, and when it’s in full swing, it will be too late. It will then move onto gay and lesbian people and other minorities. Why? Because they don’t like minorities having a voice, and on the internet, we all have a voice.
Some people really think that killing trans people can unwind the clock and restore order in society. They are using the protection of women and children to promote this genocidal narrative. Who doesn’t want to protect women and children? It was used during the Satanic panic. It was used during the gay rights period(Hi Anita Bryant). It was used during the civil rights era. Saying one is protecting women and children is the perfect way to sell bigotry.
When they say protect women’s sports and spaces, it’s a tactic.
When they say we’re groomers, it’s a tactic.
When they talk about childhood innocence, it’s a tactic.
Essentially, this is about us being in an interconnected world where everyone has a voice, and they hate that. They would love to go back to a pre-internet age where simply controlling the narrative on TV and newspapers could silence a minority. That’s not possible with the internet, and they’re not happy about it.
The final solution to minorities being on the internet for authoritarians is genocide, and they will lie their way into it. It was never about women and children. It was always about trans people being silenced.
This is why it hurts my heart when I read a friend’s social media post about the problems in our society being the result of trans acceptance. The trans genocide will happen because well meaning people repeat the narrative that trans people are a problem to be solved. It will happen because of a desire to “protect women and children”. It will happen because our existence itself will be re-framed as dangerous.
Why did Kid Rock shoot a couple packs of Bud Light when the company sent a trans woman a custom can with her face on it as a marketing tactic? Because he thinks he’s protecting women and children. From what? Trans existence. He’s been convinced to pull out his gun because a trans person exists in public.
Did Dylan Mulvaney abuse children? No. Did she take anything away from women? No. Did she commit a crime? Yes. She existed in public, a crime soon punishable by death.
